Photos by the FOVEON sensor
Why FOVEON sensor?
When I saw the photos taken by the SIGMA DP2 Merrill for the first time, I thought it was my favorite. The camera itself wasn’t very expensive at the time. Without worrying about camera equipment too much, I could actively walk around and concentrate on photographing. Its Foveon sensor enables people, even an amateur like me, to take beautiful pictures. That’s why I love SIGMA cameras.
Photos by old lenses
Why old lenses?
The left photo was taken with Meopta Meogon s 50mm f2.8, an old lens manufactured in Czech over decades ago. As a mechanical engineer, I am simply excited to take digital photos with such old lenses, and to see the background other than the focus plane looks like paintings, even without any additional image processing, the effects depend on lenses though.
Image processing
Why image processing?
The left image is an around 25-second GIF data adding Van Gogh’s artistic flavor to the original photo using the famous Neural Style Transfer technology. To do this interesting task, I just added a short code to the code found in the TensorFlow Tutorial on its website. I would like to try other image processing technologies to make unique images.
