Wild grass flowers and dragonflies

I eagered to take photis of frogs, then visited the Ueno Forest Park in Iga city, Mie Prefecture. It’s more like a wildlife reserve than calling a park. When I walked around the ponds in the park, I heard frogs croaking, but couldn’t see any of them due to overgrown grass covering the area. Instead, I released shutters on blue flowers called spring gentian and dragonflies.

Spring gentian is a small wild grass.

There were many species of dragonflies never seen before.

I found water lilies. Water striders were sliding on the water near my feet.

It was a sunny day, and I might be lucky because I heard spring gentian doesn’t open its flowers on a cloudy day.
