Morino medicinal herb garden and streets of Uda Matsuyama

After visiting Gose-machi, I learned that there are multiple historical places in Nara prefecture where old buildings of Edo era (over 150 years ago) are preserved. I visited Uda Matsuyama, one of these districts. In a Saturday morning, it was very quiet with few visitors.

First, I visited the Morino medicinal herb garden which entrance looked like a private house but has a huge back yard, or in other words, a little mountain. There are 250 kinds of plants, but not many were in bloom in this season. I took photos of flowers I had seldom seen before.

Finally succeeded in taking a photo of a frog at the garden, but I had realized that I don’t usually see frogs these days.

After leaving the herb garden, I walked around the streets in the town.

I had lunch at the restaurant renovated from over 150-year old house. Simple decorations caught my eyes.
