Gojo Shinmachi – yet another old street

There are multiple places that retain atmosphere of Edo era in Nara prefecture, and Gojo Shinmachi is one of them. It was a beautiful autumn day, then visited the place. The street was full of nostalgic atmosphere. (photos are all taken with SIGMA sd Quattro H)

It looked like a Japanese sweets shop, but turned out to be a chocolate shop that should be renovated from an old house.

Just next to the Shinmachi street, Yoshino River with very clear water quietly flows, and the water surface reflected sunlight brightly. If go a little further downstream, the river changes its name Kinokawa River because it soon crosses the border of Wakayama prefecture.

Grasshoppers were flying around the river bank.
