Muro-ji Temple, Nara Prefecture

Muro-ji Temple stands deep in the mountains near the boundary of Nara and Mie prefectures. I heard that rhododendron flowers are famous in spring, but the season was just over and right now fresh green is beautiful. It was nice day today, so visited the temple in the morning by my motorcycle.

Tow colorful Nio statues stand at the gate of the temple. When entered the gate, there was a lotus pond and frogs were croaking laudly. But after that, it was very quiet. There are long and steep stairs in the temple grounds, but I heard almost no sound but my own footsteps.

The water of the river running by the temple was so clear. The shops on both sides of the road to the temple look so nostalgic.
