Black-wall streets in black and white - Nagahama City, Shiga

As a beautiful clear autumn day, took some monochrome photos as well during visit to Nagahama City. While color photography focuses on capturing hues, monochrome photography chases contrast. This different is fascinating, I noticed very recently in my photo activity though. (all photos taken with SIGMA DP2 Merrill B/W mode)
